Customer responsibility
This is work-at-height equipment. The customer is responsible for making sure the tower is suitable for the task and location, assembled correctly, inspected before use and used safely.
- The tower must only be assembled, altered, moved, inspected and used by a competent person.
- The correct BoSS / Werner Ladderspan 3T instruction manual must be read and followed before assembly or use.
- The customer is responsible for checking ground conditions, working area, overhead hazards, weather conditions and suitability for the job.
- The tower must be inspected after assembly and before use.
- The tower must be inspected again after alteration, movement, impact, severe weather or anything else that may affect stability or safety.
- For construction work where a person could fall 2m or more, inspection records may be required and the tower should be re-inspected at least every 7 days while in use.
- Do not assemble or use the tower if any component appears damaged, missing, incompatible or unsafe.

Safety documentation & instructions
The manufacturer instructions must be read before assembling, altering, moving, dismantling or using this tower. A copy of the relevant instruction manual should be available to the person assembling and using the tower.

Use safely
- Read and follow the BoSS / Werner Ladderspan 3T instruction manual before assembly or use.
- Inspect all components before assembly and before use.
- Use on firm, level ground only.
- Lock the castors before climbing or using the tower.
- Fit stabilisers, guardrails, trapdoor platforms and toeboards correctly before use.
- Use the internal ladder frame and trapdoor platforms for access.
- Do not climb onto or work from an unguarded platform.
- Do not move the tower while anyone is on it.
- Do not move the tower with tools, materials or loose items on the platform.
- Keep the working platform clear of trip hazards.
- Do not overload the tower or use it for lifting/supporting loads.
- Keep clear of overhead hazards, electrical cables and traffic routes.
- Do not use in unsafe weather, high winds, icy conditions or where stability may be affected.
- Stop using immediately if any component is damaged, missing, loose, unsafe or incompatible.
Do not use for
- Unsupported lifting, hoisting or load support.
- Use as a ladder, bridge, loading bay or temporary storage platform.
- Use on soft, uneven, sloping or unstable ground.
- Use near live electrical hazards unless properly assessed and controlled.
- Use in unsafe weather, high winds, heavy rain, ice or poor visibility.
- Attaching sheets, tarpaulins, banners or signage.
- Use with missing guardrails, stabilisers, castors, platforms, braces or toeboards.
- Use by anyone not competent to assemble, inspect and use scaffold towers.
